In the News...Any student who wants to take their division flash cards home, may do so. Also, the majority of each student's classwork is kept in their binder. Once a particular unit of study is over, students may choose to store these units in their binder, along with their tests. The portfolios are available to take home at any time during the year, students just have to sign them out and bring them back.
In Science....We are finished reveiwing plants, rocks and minerals, and I am meeting with student to pass back their quizzes.We have started our new animal adaptations unit. Check your Essay and Project Guidelines for due Dates In Reading...Everyone has learned each Literature circle job. Students are now ready to run their own reading group.In Math....We have just taken the end of the year district assessment, and we will be correcting it.InWriting...We will be focusing on essay structure, and using class time to write animal essays.

Study tip for open response questions from a study guide- Pracitce by actually writing out your response to any open respose questions from your study guide. Decide what the key words are that you will use. Make a mental check list for those key words, then begin writing your answer. Good study habits = good grades!!!!

Study tip for wordly wise, or vocabulary words in any subject- Make flash cards. Word on one side, definition on the other. Have someone read to you ALL of the definitions. Then you say the word. OR go to the Wordly Wise link for games.
